For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), NeuroEntrepreneurs is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and its services where it determines the purpose and means of that processing.

- other information you voluntarily provide when using our services.
We aim to collect only the personal information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is being processed.
3. Why we process your information
We may process personal information where it is necessary to provide a product or service, fulfil a contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business purpose, or where you have given appropriate consent.
We may use your information to:
- process purchases and payments;
- create and manage customer or student accounts;
- enrol customers in purchased courses;
- provide access to course materials and digital products;
- track learning progress within the course platform;
- manage bookings, coaching sessions and professional services;

4. Online purchases and payments
NeuroEntrepreneurs uses WooCommerce to manage online purchases, orders and customer transactions.
Payments may be processed through PayFast or another payment provider made available at checkout. Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.
NeuroEntrepreneurs does not need to receive or store your full bank card details in order for an external payment provider to process your payment.
We may retain information relating to your order, including your name, contact details, products purchased, transaction status, billing information and other records reasonably required for accounting, customer support, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
5. Courses and student accounts
Online courses are delivered through Tutor LMS.
When you purchase or enrol in a course, information may be processed to create or manage your student account, confirm enrolment, provide access to learning material and record course activity and progress.
Course-related information may include your account details, enrolled courses, lesson or course progress, quiz activity, reviews and other interactions with the learning platform.
Purchasing a non-course product or service does not, by itself, mean that you will be enrolled as a Tutor LMS student.
6. Digital products and downloads
If you purchase a digital product such as a workbook, guide, template, e-book or other downloadable resource, we process the information necessary to complete the transaction and provide access to the purchased material.
This may include maintaining records of your purchase and download entitlement.
7. Bookings, coaching and professional services
If you book a call, coaching session, consultation, workshop or other professional service, we may collect information necessary to arrange and provide that service.
This may include your contact information, booking details and information you voluntarily provide in booking or pre-qualification forms.
Where a third-party booking or calendar platform is used, that provider may also process information in accordance with its own privacy terms.
8. Email and direct marketing
If you subscribe to the NeuroEntrepreneurs email list, we may use your details to send articles, resources, business updates, offers and other relevant communications.
Where consent is required, marketing communications will be sent on the basis of that consent or another lawful basis permitted under applicable South African law.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe facility included in the communication or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications, such as purchase confirmations, account notices or information about a service you have requested.
9. Cookies and website analytics
This website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the website function, maintain sessions and account access, remember preferences, improve security and understand how the website is used.
Analytics technologies may collect information such as your IP address, browser or device type, pages visited, referring pages and interactions with the website.
Some cookies are necessary for functions such as shopping baskets, checkout and account sessions. Other analytics or marketing technologies may be subject to user choice or consent where required.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect parts of the website.

11. Cross-border processing
Some technology and service providers used by NeuroEntrepreneurs may process or store information outside South Africa.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements, including POPIA.
12. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required by applicable legal, accounting, contractual or regulatory obligations.
Different information may therefore be retained for different periods. For example, financial transaction records may need to be retained after a customer account is no longer actively used.
When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.
13. How we protect personal information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. However, we review the safeguards used for the website and the services that process information on our behalf and take reasonable steps appropriate to the risks involved.
